All Time Favorites!

Movies are kind of an obsession of mine. I think this obsession started when I was 15 and started watching movies at Brock's in his theater room. Well since moving to Hawaii I have realized that there are some movies that I love more than others...and can quote basically the entire thing. Of course, most of them are ones that Brock and I have watched thousands of times. Heres a few of them I love:
1. The Little Rascals
One of the all time classics. On most of my letters from Brock I get a Little Rascals quote on the outside

2. Nacho Libre
Once again...this is a Brock favorite. I like to watch his favs because it reminds me of him :)

3. How to Lost a Guy in Ten Days
Classic for me, Lauren, Brock, and Steven

4. Mean Girls
By far the most quoted between us four (brock, me, lauren, steven)

5. Sweet Home Alabama
This one is from my best roomies (mel, tawn, laur, cass)...ya we watched it a lot.

6. Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Makes me miss my Brock and him playing the piano for me :(

7. The Proposal
Another one of the roomies movies!

8. Hitch
Roomie movie...again.....yea we watched a lot of movies

Ok well thats it for now....I made a list tonight of movies that Brock needs to see when he gets home so I've been thinkin a lot about movies. Brock only has 7 months left basically now...which means I tell people 6 months because it makes me feel better about myself haha. He's coming home...someday soon!!!!

A Night in Town!

As most of you know, I have always been, and always will be a city girl. So I don't know what I was thinking when I signed up to live on the opposite side of the island with no car and no way to get to Waikiki. So last night I finally convinced my roommates that it was time for a trip into "town" as everyone calls Waikiki here. A bunch of us went out and went to Cheesecake Factory for dinner. Of course since we had 12 people it was a 2 hour wait and we didn't even get to sit in the same table! But we still had lots of fun! It was great to be back in civilization!
(me and my roommate bree! I love her to death!)
(roommies!...bree, me, steph)
(this was our table, the other people we were with were at a different table)

3 Things!

1. It is so weird to not have nursing be ruling my life. Today I just sat at my house and did whatever I wanted...whenever I wanted. Its kind of relaxing ..but at the same time its not me. I think that I like being really busy and stressed out...i know...I think I was meant to be a nurse!

2. I have realized that I am a Seattle girl! I don't like the heat constantly and I think that Hawaii is for sure a place that is to visit and not to live. I miss the fall. I miss the leaves changing. I miss wearing hoodies and boots and comfy stuff.

3. I love Hawaii. Even though I don't like the heat all the time..I love being here and seeing the beauty around me. I never, NEVER get sick of the beauty around me. Its amazing here. Most of the time I stand out my balcony and see the ocean I still don't believe that I'm in Hawaii. Its a surreal feeling. and that is never going to change.

*I took this picture with my camera on the way home today.....now you see what I mean...its beautiful here! And the temple open house starts tomorrow..I'm going to it Saturday! I can't wait!*

Kahiko!

This semester I decided that I needed to take a hula class...you know..get into the culture a little bit here. Turns out that I really am a skinny white girl who can't shake her hips! :) Here is my test that I just had...I figured I would share..even though I am not very good! I messed up a few times but oh well! :) This is Kahiko..the ancient form of hula! Enjoy! :)

Bugs and Trickles

Last weekend a few of us decided that we needed to start doing the hikes that are all around us! We thought it would be easiest to start with the one closest to us...Laie Falls. To be honest, I hadn't heard anything good or bad about it and so I figured why not! It started out pretty good and then came the strawberry guava trees. We went through this like tunnel of strawberry guava trees and they were really ripe. along with the really ripe fruit came the crazy bugs. Literally I think there were millions. I wanted to puke. If anybody knows me they know that I HATE bugs! HATE! so it was nasty. and then we got to the falls and it was more of a trickle. So overall, it was fun with friends...but the hike is not something i would evvver do again!

Hopefully the next hike will be better!! :)

Living in Paradise

Does everyone realize that I live in paradise? Well..I never get sick of it to be honest. I ride my bike back and forth from school every day and I am always amazed by the beauty around me. One of my favorite places here to go is Sunset Beach. Its on the north shore about 20 minutes away and it is just beautiful. No wonder its called Sunset because the Sunset there is to die for. I seriously could go there every night and just sit there and watch the beauty around me.
Oh and it helps that its 84 degrees here every day. Its weird that its about Halloween. I still feel like I am in the middle of summer! Its not going to be fun when I have to come home. I can guarantee that I am going to be so sick just from my body going into shock because of how cold it will be in Utah! Ah..I'm not excited for that!

oh! and guess what...my boy only has 7 1/2 months left! ah time needs to go by faster!
