Patience.

I don't think I would wait for the 15 minutes to get the second marshmallow...maybe I should work on that :)

Lately

Lately I've been super happy. I don't know quite what it is but I think a lot of it has to deal with how much stress is gone from my life after nursing school. One of my friends came up to me today and was like, "Ali, you seem so much less stressed and happy this semester." And its true. Nursing school was super hard on me and I feel like I didn't get to go through the real college experience. So heres some things I love lately about school.

1. The Roads. I flat out love eating at the crossroads. Or hanging out there. Or both. I may have spent 2 hours in the roads today.

2. Living with my sissy. Its quite pleasant actually. We share a bathroom and a room and really...its not bad. We cook with each other a few times a week and its nice. Its a joy actually.

3. Oreo night. Kind of my highlight of the week to be honest. All the homies get together and we have oreos and milk every Thursday. Best night of the week. Hands down.

4. My girls niff (jenn) and haley. I adore these two girls at the moment. No really...I could be with them all day and not get bored.

5. Being at the library but not getting anything done. The past few years I would have to go to my own little cubicle and study super hard in order to get everything done. Not the case anymore....today haley and I watched tv in the library. And we were loud...and had a super awkward experience with a random guy.

Those are just a few things. I love it.

dip party last night with the friends. love it.

Targhee.

After yesterday would I go back to Hawaii and the sun? Nope! ..not right now at least! Even though I loved Hawaii...the winter and I..we get along pretty well I'd say! Yesterday was a prime example of the winter and I being friends. A couple of my friends went up to Targhee yesterday and I of course was there in a heartbeat. Since I've been in Hawaii I haven't been up skiing yet and you know that this is not ok in my book. I think I was just meant to ski. Its probably on my top five favorite things to do in this world. Actually it is on my top five..not probably.
The snow yesterday wasn't to amazing though. It was Washington snow. Heavy powder and a little moist. Not the normal dry, light powder that we get around here. Was it still freaking fun though? YES. So more towards the end of the day we decided that we wanted to build a jump. The snow was so soft that it would be a super soft landing and hey..why not build a jump right?
This is embarrassing but this video is of my going off the jump...and crashing. I don't know why but I like posting embarrassing videos on my blog. Its kind of fun for me! Ok but you have to hear the story behind it. I don't know why but when I'm skiing with people better then me and they tell me to do something...I most likely will do it because I want to get better. So I'm skiing with Loren and Kurt and they are by far some of the best skiers that I've ever skied with. They go off the jump first and say its a super soft landing and I'll be just fine. But they also said I just needed to bomb it and not slow down on my way to the jump. So of course..I do what I'm told..they are better than me after all! So I crashed..but hey..at least I did it and I wasn't even scared. I would do it again if that jump was still there. I really love getting my adrenaline pumping when I'm skiing. Its more fun that way. So here's the video. Don't laugh to hard when you see it :)

Subzero Temps

I'm back in Rexburg....and its snowing. a lot! Ok so the last post needs to be disregarded because its completely wrong now. I moved back to Rexburg yesterday. I guess I couldn't handle life when I'm not doing school full time. This way I don't have to drive so much and I'm also getting my scholarship money because I'm going full time . Its a long story of how it all happened but I'm back. And I'm SO happy! I love Rexburg...and I feel like Rexburg loves me too. Even though the temps are subzero....I feel like I belong here. And yes...I am a school junkie..but I figure why not get my bachelors degree now! Right?!?!?!
I love seeing the temple everyday :)

Life after Paradise.

I'm sad to even be writing on my blog anymore. In Hawaii I always had fun things I could write on my blog. I had so many cool experiences there that I didn't even have enough time to write them all on my blog. Now I'm home. Christmas was amazing being home, but now the reality of never being in Hawaii like that ever again is setting in. I just experienced this once in a lifetime chance that hardly anyone gets to do. Real life just doesn't seem as cool as it once did. Things are going to be pretty hectic this semester though. Here's the schedule for the semester:
Monday- BCC in Rexburg (It's a lab that I have to do for a class)
Tuesday-Friday: Work at Vision security from 8-3
Friday: Drive to Rexburg and take my patho test
Saturday: Ski (hopefully) :)
Sunday: Church
Yeah its a weird schedule....the weekdays will be in Utah..the weekends and Monday's in Rexburg. I know..its a pain, but its just what happened and I'm just going to go with it and have some fun while I'm at it :)
All I really want to do is ski right now. I haven't been able to go yet this year and I'm DYING to get up to the mountain. I just bought some sweet new white spyder snow pants. They look so sweet with my coat I got last year. I think I will be able to get up there next weekend though (cross your fingers!) Skiing is the one HUGE plus to being back in the mainland. I was made for skiing...not for surfing :) AH can't wait!!!
Here's a quick pic from Christmas!
At least I can prove I was tan....even if its going away fast!
